Job summary

Thomas Sign & Awning in Clearwater, FL is seeking an Estimator to join our team. The role focuses on estimating sign components such as cabinets, pylons, pole covers, awnings, and window signs. Proficiency in reading technical drawings and using estimating software is essential.

The Estimator will work with a team to ensure products meet customer expectations, interacting with other departments to understand the manufacturing process and to train less experienced workers as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and engineering notes.
• Experience with estimating sign components preferred
• Comfort with software tools used in estimating (MS Access, AutoCAD, Casmate)
• Strong math and organizational skills are required
• Ability to work in a team and train others as needed

Thomas Sign & Awning, an award winning Nation Sign Company in Clearwater, FL; designs, manufactures and installs illuminated and non-illuminated signage. Thomas Sign is searching for an Estimator to join our team.

The Estimator would be responsible for estimating sign components such as cabinets, pylons, pole covers, awnings, window signs and other custom made sign assemblies using the following software: MS Access, AutoCAD and Casmate.

Summary

Estimate sign components such as sign cabinets, pylons, pole covers, awnings, window signs and other custom made sign assemblies. Ability to utilize software: including Microsoft Access, AutoCAD and Casmate.

Description

Ability to work as a member of a team and helps train less experienced workers. Possess a good understanding of the entire sign manufacturing process and interact with other departments and individuals to ensure that the manufactured product meets or exceeds the customer’s expectation. Able to read and understand technical drawings and engineering notes furnished by customers.
