Job summary

Sunstall Inc. in Columbia, SC is seeking a detail-oriented Estimator with 2–3 years of drywall and ceilings construction experience to join our growing team. The role supports project success through accurate cost estimating, contract analysis, and quality-focused execution.

The ideal candidate reads plans, prices projects, and collaborates with project teams to ensure timely and profitable delivery, working with field teams and subcontractors during preconstruction and execution.

Qualifications

2-3 years of estimating experience in drywall/ceilings preferred.
Experience pricing and cost estimation.
Ability to read architectural drawings and construction documents.
Ability to review contracts and bid packages.
Experience with change orders and cost analysis.
Site inspections to validate scope and risks.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate project cost estimates for drywall and ceilings scope.
Perform quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
Review construction documents, contracts, and bid packages.
Price and manage change orders, including cost analysis and documentation.
Conduct site inspections to validate scope and identify risks.
Collaborate with project managers, field teams, and subcontractors during preconstruction and execution phases.
Monitor project costs and support budget tracking and cost control.
Assist in QC/QA processes to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Maintain organized documentation of estimates, proposals, and revisions.
Support continuous improvement in estimating processes and tools.
