  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, make informed decisions, and solve complex problems.
  • Effective communicator with strong negotiation skills and the ability to coordinate across teams and stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in construction estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

  • Perform material, labor, and equipment takeoffs with precision.
  • Identify non-standard conditions and project challenges, documenting them clearly.
  • Coordinate with the preconstruction team to close gaps in scope and align expectations.
  • Communicate with general contractors, engineers, vendors, and subcontractors to confirm project requirements and obtain competitive quotes.
  • Compile, verify, and submit complete bid tabs within required timelines.
  • Provide value engineering recommendations that reduce cost while maintaining quality.
  • Benchmark estimates against similar projects to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Maintain organized digital files for estimates and project documentation.
  • Participate in project turnover to operations teams, providing clarity on scope and costs.
  • Support collaboration between estimating and field operations to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Follow up on submitted bids and track project award status.
