Job summary

Lane Construction, Charlotte, NC, is seeking an Estimating Intern for a 10-week Summer Internship Program. Gain hands-on experience in preconstruction, cost estimating, bid preparation, and project planning alongside experienced estimating professionals.

As an Estimating Intern you will assist with quantity takeoffs, review drawings and specs, research subcontractors and material pricing, and participate in estimating meetings.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist with quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for construction projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project documents.
• Support the preparation and coordination of bid packages.
• Research subcontractors, suppliers, and material pricing.
• Participate in project planning and estimating meetings.
• Help maintain estimating databases and documentation.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate and competitive estimates.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
