Job summary

Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal, Inc. is seeking a student intern to support bid estimation for complex projects. You will analyze plans, gather documents, perform take-offs, and assist with pricing while visiting sites as required.

The role requires active enrollment in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctoral program, professionalism, and strong organizational and communication abilities. This on-site internship offers exposure to large commercial exterior envelope projects.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate, graduate, or doctorate program.
• Maintain a professional appearance and conduct oneself professionally in business settings.
• Exhibit strong organizational, time management, and detail-oriented skills.
• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in PC programs, including Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Analyze plans, specifications, proposals and other documents to prepare bid estimates for projects.
• Gather bid documents and perform take-offs.
• Assist with estimates, pricing and site visits.
• Use laser measuring equipment as needed.
• Perform other related duties.
