Job summary

Viejas Casino & Resort is seeking a licensed Esthetician to provide facials, waxing and body treatments on-site at our spa. You will customize treatments to match guests’ skin conditions, assess contraindications and ensure every service meets our standards.

The ideal candidate has a California Esthetician license, completed esthetic training, and prior spa or guest-service experience. You should be energetic, organized, and able to work flexible evenings and holidays while delivering

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform facials, waxing and body treatments following service menu and safety guidelines.

• Build rapport with guests and recommend at-home care products.
• Maintain treatment notes and client cards; participate in trainings.

Job SummaryThe Esthetician is responsible for providing various cosmetic procedures including facials, waxing and body treatments.Job Description• Ensures the Viejas guest service experience for guests by maintaining the standards at all times. • Adheres to company and departmental policies and standard operating procedures, and applicable governmental laws and regulations. • Performs facials, waxing, and body services that meet the established guidelines for the type of service offering while fulfilling guest expectations at all times. • Customizes treatments based upon present skin condition(s). • Performs all treatments on services menu based upon current licensure. • Assesses contraindications of guest that may prevent service from taking place. • Understands and uses universal precautions when providing services. • Cleans and disinfects all equipment on a daily basis. • Maintains the highest level of product knowledge and has complete knowledge of all spa service presently offered. • Understands the ingredients in products and can explain their benefits to guests. • Answers guest’s questions in a knowledgeable and professional manner. • Recommends products for home use. • Suggests to guests other beneficial treatments offered in the spa. • Begins and ends all treatments on time. • Ensures that work areas are clean and set according to procedures. • Informs Spa Director or other management personnel about product needs. • Creates and maintains client cards and treatment notes when appropriate. • Attends all scheduled meetings and professional trainings. • Reports any incidents or accidents to a member of the management team. • Performs all other duties as assigned. • Does not provide supervisions to others. • High school diploma or General education degree (GED). • Successfully completed esthetic training at a recognized esthetic school. • Valid California Esthetician License or other credentials required by the state. • Must maintain all current licenses and certifications that are required by on a state or local level. • Previous esthetic experience. • Customer service experience, preferably in a spa. • Must be able to build rapport with guest. • Ability to explain various treatments/services to guests. • Excellent customer service skills and work ethic. • Efficient, well organized, and able to handle a variety of duties simultaneously. • Energetic, enthusiastic and motivational. • Professional manner, discretion, and appearance. • Good verbal and written skills. • Strong team player. • Must be comfortable with production recommendations. • Must be flexible to work different shifts, evenings, and holidays.Hiring PreferenceThe Viejas Band of Kumeyaay Indians is an equal opportunity employer.
