You will advise clients, prepare wills and trusts, handle probate filings, coordinate with financial professionals, and support elder law matters. A J.D., NY State Bar admission, and 3+ years in trust and estate practice are required, with strong

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the New York State Bar or eligibility.
• 3+ years in trust and estate planning and administration.
• Strong knowledge of estate, gift, and fiduciary income tax law.
• Excellent drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a client-focused mindset.

Responsibilities

• Advise clients on estate planning, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and advance directives.
• Counsel on wealth transfer strategies, charitable giving, and tax planning.
• Administer trusts and estates, probate filings, and related matters.
• Draft, review, and interpret complex estate planning documents and trust agreements.
• Coordinate with financial advisors, accountants, and other professionals to implement plans.
• Handle guardianship and elder law matters (Medicaid planning).
• Maintain ongoing client relationships and provide excellent service.
