Job summary

Brewer Morris is seeking a Trust and Estate Director to join our Connecticut team on a hybrid schedule, based in Norwalk or Ridgefield. The role requires deep expertise in estate and trust administration and leadership within a regional CPA firm.

The position offers a clear path to upper management with strong compensation, a comprehensive benefits package, and collaboration with experienced tax and accounting professionals.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience with estate and trust administration.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Accounting or relevant field required.
• CPA license is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage, prepare, and review complex estate, trust, and gift tax returns.
• Perform tax and accounting research with the aid of research tools and communicate with partners and/or clients.
• Understand complex estate and trust administration, including probate filings, probate accountings, and reviewing federal and state estate tax returns.
• Draft and review responses to tax notices from various federal and state tax agencies.
