Job summary

Dcbar in Wisconsin seeks an Estate Planning Attorney to join our team in Milwaukee or Madison. You will draft wills, trusts and other instruments, advise on charitable and business succession planning, and assist with estate administration.

Candidates must have 3+ years of estate planning experience, excellent drafting and research skills, and be admitted or eligible to practice in Wisconsin. This full-time position offers collaborative, client-focused work.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of experience in estate planning law.
• Excellent research, writing and drafting skills.
• Superior organizational and time management skills.
• Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with telephone and in-person communication.
• Commitment to client service, professional excellence, integrity and teamwork.
• Interest in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment and contributing to team and client success.
• Full-time availability, including variable hours to meet client needs.
• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school.
• Be admitted or eligible for admission to practice in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Draft wills, trusts and other estate planning instruments.
• Prepare and/or review federal transfer tax returns and income tax returns for Trusts and Estates.
• Provide advice and implement estate plans including charitable planning and business succession planning.
• Assist with the administration of estates and trusts.
• Collaborate with other attorneys and support staff to provide high quality service to clients.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
