Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and more.

• Meet with prospective and existing clients to provide exceptional guidance and service.

An established, mid-sized law firm in Queens, NY is seeking an Estate Planning Attorney to join its growing team. The firm has built an excellent reputation in the community by providing high-quality legal services in estate planning, elder law, probate, and related practice areas. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop their career with a well-respected firm that values collaboration, client service, and professional growth. This is a fully in-office position, and candidates must be able to reliably commute to the firm's Queens office. Candidates with estate planning experience will be given priority, but the firm is also open to training.

Responsibilities

• Draft estate planning documents, including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and more.
• Counsel clients on estate planning strategies tailored to their individual goals and family circumstances.
• Handle probate and estate administration matters.
• Assist with elder law matters, including Medicaid planning and asset protection, as experience permits.
• Meet with prospective and existing clients to provide exceptional legal guidance and service.
• Collaborate with attorneys and support staff on a variety of estate planning and elder law matters.

Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
• Active admission to the New York State Bar.
• One year of experience in estate planning, probate, elder law, or a related practice area is highly preferred.
• Attorneys with experience in related practice areas, as well as recent graduates with a strong interest in estate planning, are encouraged to apply. The firm is willing to train the right candidate.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and a client-focused approach.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base Salary: $85,000–$150,000, commensurate with experience.
