Job summary

SNFout, based in Chicago, is seeking a partner-level Estate Planning Attorney to work with ultra-high-net-worth families. The role includes advising, educating, and closing new relationships, with equity opportunities and a strong benefits package.

In-office four days a week in Chicago, the position emphasizes leadership in complex planning (IDGTs, BDITs, SLATs) and mentoring junior advisors. A JD is required; an LLM is a plus.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of UHNW estate planning with hands-on drafting.
• Partner-level experience in a law firm or senior planning in wealth management.
• Ability to explain complex structures clearly.

Responsibilities

• Lead custom estate planning conversations and document reviews for UHNW and family office clients
• Work through complex issues involving IDGTs, BDITs, SLATs, grantor trusts and estate tax
• Coach internal advisors on estate concepts, law changes and best practices
• Present at firmwide trainings
• Partner with partners, senior tax advisors and family office strategists
• Help close new relationships

Estate Planning Attorney - Chicago: A growing wealth management firm is adding a senior estate planning voice to work directly with ultra-high-net-worth families, many with $30MM to $1B+ in assets. Clients are provided. You advise, educate and help close, with a path to equity. In office four days a week in Chicago.

Your Day-to-Day

• Lead custom estate planning conversations and document reviews for UHNW and family office clients
• Work through complex issues involving IDGTs, BDITs, SLATs, grantor trusts and estate tax
• Coach internal advisors on estate concepts, law changes and best practices
• Present at firmwide trainings
• Partner with partners, senior tax advisors and family office strategists
• Help close new relationships

Qualifications

Compensation: $250,000 - $500,000 base plus a 20-35% bonus (total package in the $400Ks-$500Ks) and an equity opportunity, depending on experience. Relocation assistance available.
