  • Must be able to work onsite in Boca Raton, FL.

About the Firm

A respected law firm in Boca Raton, Florida is seeking a Trusts & Estates Attorney (7+ years) to join a planning-heavy private client practice. This onsite opportunity is ideal for an attorney who thrives on sophisticated estate planning, trusted-advisor client relationships, and high-quality drafting.

Active Florida Bar membership (in good standing) is required.

Significant trust creation/drafting experience is required (revocable and irrevocable trusts).

  • Lead estate planning matters end-to-end, from intake and issue-spotting through drafting, execution, and implementation.
  • Draft and structure trusts (required), including:
  • Revocable living trusts
  • Irrevocable trusts (including gifting/wealth-transfer strategies)
  • Special purpose planning trusts (as appropriate for the client’s goals)
  • Draft and update supporting estate planning documents, including:
  • Durable powers of attorney
  • Health care surrogate designations and advance directives
  • Advise clients on planning strategies such as:
  • Asset protection planning concepts and trust structuring
  • Lifetime gifting approaches and wealth transfer planning
  • Planning for blended families, second marriages, and special circumstances
  • Drive the implementation side of planning:
  • Trust funding guidance and coordination of asset titling
  • Review/coordinate beneficiary designations
  • Work collaboratively with client advisors (CPAs, financial advisors, insurance professionals)
Qualifications
  • J.D. from an accredited law school
  • 7+ years of trusts & estates experience with a strong emphasis on estate planning
  • Demonstrated, hands‑on trust drafting experience (required)—must be comfortable creating trusts with minimal supervision
  • Strong writing/drafting skills and excellent client‑facing communication
  • Must be able to work onsite in Boca Raton, FL
Preferred (Nice to Have)
  • Experience advising high-net-worth individuals/families and closely held business owners
  • Exposure to tax‑aware planning (in coordination with CPAs), charitable planning, or business succession planning
  • Experience supervising/mentoring junior attorneys or paralegals
