Full-Time 40h/wk $60k/year 20% Travel Professional Attire

We are a growing law firm seeking a detailed, motivated, and hard-working self-starting attorney to join our North Dakota office. As a Marketing/Staff Attorney, you will play a crucial role in both our legal and marketing efforts, helping to expand our client base and enhance our firm's brand awareness.

Responsibilities:
  1. Client Relationship Development: Build strong relationships with potential and existing clients, educating them on our firm's services and value.
  2. Client Education: Guide clients through estate planning options, including wills, trusts, and advanced planning strategies, ensuring they understand their choices and implications.
  3. Estate Plan Review & Updates: Regularly review and update estate plans to align with changes in clients’ circumstances, goals, and current best practices for estate and tax planning strategies.
  4. Asset Titling & Allocation: Assist clients in properly titling and structuring assets to implement their estate plans effectively and in a tax-efficient manner.
  5. Trust & Probate Administration: Provide legal guidance on trust administration and probate processes following a client’s passing.
  6. Professional Collaboration: Work closely with financial advisors, insurance professionals, accountants, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive estate planning.
  7. Marketing & Business Development: Enhance the firm’s brand presence through networking, speaking engagements, and other marketing efforts.
  8. Team Collaboration & Compliance: Work alongside paralegals, legal assistants, and firm leadership to maintain adherence to firm policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
  1. Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  2. Licensed to practice law in North Dakota and/or Montana.
  3. Willingness to travel statewide for client meetings.
  4. Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  5. Ability to provide clear, compassionate guidance in high-stress or emotional situations.
  6. Capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  7. Passion for estate planning and helping clients achieve their goals.
  8. Experience in estate and business planning law is preferred but not required - willing to train the right candidate.

Location

We are based in Minot, ND, and this role will primarily be based in our Minot office. However, candidates should be comfortable with occasional travel to surrounding areas for meetings or client visits.
