Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking a Special Programs Instructional Assistant - Bilingual - ESSA to support licensed teachers in planning and implementing educational programs, including IEPs, in both general and bilingual settings.
The position requires fluent Spanish and English, and is a temporary role with benefits. Hours per day are 6, and the district operates 188 days per year with an hourly range of $24.03 to $30.65.
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and bilingual education settings.
The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) works to support equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and eliminate barriers to student success. ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing, and math.
