Salem-Keizer Public Schools seeks a Special Programs Instructional Assistant - ESSA to support licensed teachers in planning and delivering instructional programs, including IEPs. This role may serve in general and special education settings as needed.
The position is classified as temporary with benefits, offering 6.50 hours per day across 188 days per year, with an hourly range of $24.03–$30.65. ESSA documentation is required for applicants.
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program, including individualized education programs (IEPs). Assigned educational programs may include both general and special education settings.
The federal Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) works to support equal opportunity for disadvantaged students and eliminate barriers to student success. ESSA requires all paraprofessionals working in a Title I funded school to meet certain proficiency in reading, writing and math.
