Salem-Keizer Public Schools is seeking an ESSA General Instructional Assistant for Grant Elementary. The role supports a licensed teacher in implementing instructional activities and helps create a safe, healthy classroom environment for students in a Kindergarten-First blended classroom, including recess and lunch supervision.

This temporary position runs 6.50 hours per day, 179 days per year, and follows ESSA requirements for paraprofessionals working in Title I funded schools.

Instructional Assistant - ESSA
PURPOSE
To improve student achievement by assisting a licensed teacher in the planning and implementation of an educational program for students to perform instructional activities in support of the prescribed lesson plan; assisting in providing a safe, healthy environment for students; and performing a variety of general clerical duties.

This position is focused on a Kindergarten-first grade blended classroom as well as recess/lunch supervision.
