Job summary

BYD America Corporation is seeking an ESS Rework Technician to perform commission work on the ESS and support field stations with mechanical and electrical repairs. You will receive batteries, document by serial numbers, test cubes and components with BYD software and hardware, and follow strict safety procedures.

This role requires teamwork, attention to detail, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities while maintaining high quality repairs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with ability to perform essential duties.
• Must be able to document serial numbers and repairs accurately.
• Comfort with testing cubes, batteries and components using BYD tools.

Responsibilities

• Receive batteries, document by serial numbers and cubes.
• Test cubes, batteries and components using BYD software and hardware.
• Disassemble cubes, perform repairs and modifications per direction.
• Document all issues, repairs and changes made.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas, including warehouse.
• Collaborate with team to ensure safe, efficient work and high quality repairs.
• Support port-site cube repair and warehouse organization.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and adaptability in changing conditions.
