Job summary

Central New Mexico Community College seeks an experienced ESL/ESOL instructor to deliver high-quality instruction to a diverse student body. The successful candidate will design and assess learning, maintain records, and integrate technology to support student outcomes.

The role requires a Master’s degree with TESOL emphasis or related field and at least two years of ESL/ESOL teaching experience, with bilingual English/Spanish abilities and a commitment to supporting student success.

Qualifications

• MUST have a Master’s degree in TESL/TESOL, Applied Linguistics, English with a TESOL Emphasis, Education with a TESOL Emphasis, or closely related fields.
• Two years’ experience teaching ESL or ESOL in a formal setting.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.
• Experience with instructional technology and diverse learner support.

Responsibilities

• Effectively prepare, teach, grade, and assess student learning in ESL courses assigned.
• Create a quality learning environment for diverse learners, including students with disabilities or special learning needs.
• Use current technology to enhance teaching and learning; maintain student records and documentation.
• Participate in curriculum/outcome development and revision, college service, and professional development.
