Job summary

Lone Star College-Montgomery is seeking adjunct ESOL instructors to teach a variety of ESOL courses at different times and locations, including Conroe, TX. Adjunct faculty are hired semester-by-semester, with a maximum of five classes per academic year.

Classes are offered day, evening, and weekend; commitment to academic excellence and student success is essential. The college supports a flexible schedule with campus-based opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in TESOL/TESL/TEFL, Second Language Acquisition, Linguistics, or English where English is taught as a foreign language, OR equivalent
• 12 hours TESOL/TESL/TEFL coursework or teaching certification (e.g., CELTA/DELTA)
• ESOL teaching experience at secondary/postsecondary level or 3+ years with related coursework

Responsibilities

• Teaches ESOL courses at various times and locations
• Creates engaging lessons promoting student involvement and application of material
• Submits required college reports and forms promptly
• Follows a course syllabus and institutional guidelines
• Advises students before/after class or by appointment
