Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plans a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of students.
• Creates a classroom environment that is safe and conducive to learning and appropriate to the maturity and interests of students.
• Guides the learning process toward achievement of curriculum goals and establishes clear objectives for lessons, units, projects.
• Employs best instructional methods (Universal Design for Learning) and materials for meeting objectives.
• Communicates with colleagues, students, and parents on a regular basis.
• Adheres to policies and/or rules governing student life and conduct in the classroom.
• Plans and supervises assignments for teacher aides/volunteers.
• Attends staff meetings and serves on committees; participates in staff development programs.
