TALENT Software Services seeks an ESL teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students in Knoxville, TN. The role focuses on creating an inclusive learning environment and developing ILPs and individualized lesson plans tailored to students with limited or differing language foundations.
The educator will adapt materials, employ sign-supported strategies, and ensure all students can participate in lessons and activities. This position currently serves two students for 1 hour daily, five days a week.
An English as a Second Language (ESL) teacher for deaf and hard of hearing students specializes in creating a learning environment tailored to the needs of students with a foundation in written or spoken language other than English who have hearing loss. The teacher develops individual learning plans (ILP), individualized lesson plans, adapts materials, and employs strategies to ensure that all students can participate fully in lessons and activities. This position currently serves two students for 1 hour a day, 5 days a week. The number of students can change depending on enrollment. The educator needs to have a background in American Sign Language usage and be able to sign.
