Qualifications

• Two years of college or an associate’s degree or Work Keys equivalency required.
• Experience with children in instructional settings preferred.
• Knowledge of reading, writing and mathematics required.
• Fluent in English; second language skills preferred (Arabic/Spanish/Albanian).

Responsibilities

• Assist ESL students individually or in small groups with grade‑level material.
• Reinforce reading and comprehension strategies.
• Record assessment data and complete required forms and reports.
• Support reading, writing, and math intervention programs.
• Discuss student goals and progress with school team and plan interventions.
• Translate and liaise with parents and teachers as needed.
• Attend professional development to stay current in literacy.
