Job summary

Aurora Mental Health & Recovery is seeking an ESL Instructor for the Adult Education Program to teach adult English learners at Aurora Public Schools sites. The role includes in-person instruction, enrollment support, assessment activities, and connecting learners to wraparound services.

The candidate should have at least two years of adult education teaching experience, comfort with technology, and ability to work in a multicultural, multi-level setting.

Qualifications

• Two years of adult education teaching experience.
• Experience teaching multi-level and multi-cultural classes.
• Willingness to obtain ABEA within 3 years of hire.
• Vaccination and TB test required.

Responsibilities

• Teach engaging group ESL classes, including job skills/workforce curriculum.
• Integrate civics education into the curriculum.
• Use technology to enhance learning and administer distance learning for hybrid learners.
• Monitor student goals and progress; track attendance daily.
• Schedule tutoring and coordinate with volunteers.
