Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or progress toward GED as required by Kentucky law.
• Some experience working with children in organized settings.
• Official college transcript or 64 college hours; pass Kentucky Para-educators Exam.

Responsibilities

• Tutor individuals or small groups and record progress as directed by the teacher.
• Participate as a member of an instructional team.
• Prepare and organize lessons and administer tests as directed by the teacher.
• Monitor and report student progress and behavior according to procedures.
• Provide clerical support and maintain classroom records and attendance.
• Assist in overseeing labs and daily activities including lunchroom/playground duties.
• Support teacher with setup of work areas, displays, and equipment.
• Communicate with parents as needed regarding student progress.
