Job summary

Catholic Charities of Southern Nevada is seeking an Instructor to teach ESL, ABE, and Integrated Education and Training (IET) to adult learners in-person and virtually. The role develops curriculum aligned with WIOA and NDE while supporting students in academic, workforce, and career pathways.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree in education and ESL/TESOL certification, plus three years of teaching experience in the U.S. or English-speaking settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education from an accredited college.
• Certification in ESL, TESOL, Elementary or Secondary Education.
• Minimum of three years of teaching in the U.S. or an English-speaking school.
• Experience in long-distance learning is preferred.
• Reliable technology and internet for remote teaching.
• Willingness to drive to offsite classes and attend meetings.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver contextualized ESL and ABE instruction including HSE prep.
• Coordinate with workforce training partners and employers for credentials.
• Support employment readiness skills and workplace communication.
• Assist with IET program development with leadership and partners.
• Plan and deliver ESL, ABE, IET instruction with technology integration.
• Collect data and maintain attendance records and student files.
• Oversee intake, orientation and assessment; monitor post-testing.
• Protect confidential information and comply with safety rules.
