Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an educational field or equivalent as defined by FAC 6A-1.0503
• Hold or is eligible to hold a valid Florida Educator Certificate in Exceptional Student Education or equivalent as defined by FAC 6A-4.01795
• Endorsements in Autism Spectrum Disorder, Gifted, Orientation and Mobility, Pre-K Disabilities, Severe/Profound Disabilities, Reading; and crisis intervention for EBD/SC programs

Responsibilities

• Help students become proficient in standards and meet state/local requirements.
• Teach diligently using prescribed materials and technology-based instruction.
• Maintain records and report requirements by law, district, and administration.
• Administer medications as assigned and per policy.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; ensure IEP/BIP/EP documents are implemented with fidelity.
• Deliver all keys, records, and reports to the principal at year-end or termination.
