Qualifications

• Applicants must have a valid FLDOE teaching certificate or current Statement of Eligibility issued by FLDOE in the teaching field.
• Recent graduates may apply without certification but must apply for initial certification prior to hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the ESE staffing process at the school.
• Convenes staffing and problem-solving meetings to support MTSS and interventions.
• Reviews eligibility for ESE services and prepares Team Analysis of Data (TADs).
• Provides leadership to ESE staff and liaisons with district Staffing Specialist.
• Schedules meetings with parents, administrators, and teachers for eligibility determinations.
• Conducts annual ESE audits to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Assists ESE personnel with IEPs, EPs, assessments, and service plans.
• Monitors ESE procedures for compliance across regulations.
• Collaborates with basic education and district staff to address individual student needs.
• Prepares a variety of ESE documents and forms for documentation and reference.
• Keeps ESE and school staff informed on best practices.
