Qualifications

• Certificate in Exceptional Student Education preferred.
• Eligibility for Florida Temporary Certificate required.

Responsibilities

• Designs and implements specially designed instruction and supports for students with disabilities.
• Develops and implements IEPs with goals and required services.
• Creates a positive classroom climate for students with disabilities.
• Employs varied teaching techniques to meet IEP goals.
• Observes and evaluates student performance and maintains grades and attendance.
• Manages student behavior with effective strategies and positive supports.
• Communicates progress to parents and school staff.
• Maintains confidentiality of records and FTE documentation.
• Attends workshops to build ESE knowledge and skills.
• Maintains required certifications and professional development hours.
• Performs any other duties as assigned.
