Odessa Elementary in New Port Richey, FL seeks a dedicated ESE teacher specializing in Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time role entails developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized education plans for students with significant needs.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor’s in ESE or related field, meet Florida certification requirements, and demonstrate ability to collaborate with families, specialists, and general education staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ESE or related field.
• Approval by or participation in a state-approved certification pathway program.
• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or District-issued adjunct certification, or valid statement of eligibility.
• Reading Endorsement preferred; candidates willing to earn endorsement may be prioritized.

Responsabilités

• Develop, plan, organize and implement an instructional program for ESE students through curriculum, lesson plans and IEP development.
• Ensure procedures comply with federal, state, and local regulations and maintain safety and security.
• Collaborate with general education staff, therapists and families to support student outcomes.
• Provide instruction and support for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) within aCommunity-Based Instruction framework.

Formation

Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or related field

Approval by state-approved certification pathway program

Florida Educator’s Certificate or district-adjunct certification / eligibility
