Job summary

Boston Children’s Hospital is looking for an Environmental Services supervisor to lead a team and ensure daily tasks meet hospital standards. The role involves following chemical usage policies, operating service equipment, and communicating with staff, patients, families, and visitors in English.

You will also provide coverage for absences and help orient new staff, while supporting waste packing and supply distribution.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years of related Environmental Services experience.
• Ability to read and understand written instructions; basic math.
• Proficient English communication, both spoken and written.

Responsibilities

• Lead a group of Environmental Services staff to complete daily tasks per protocols.
• Follow policies on chemical usage and operate service equipment.
• Communicate with hospital staff, patients, families, and visitors in English.
• Provide relief coverage for absences and orient new employees.
• Support specialized services such as waste packing and distribution of supplies.
