Boston Children’s Hospital is seeking an Environmental Services professional to join our night shift team, maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, families, and staff. You will support hospital operations by ensuring all areas meet cleanliness and safety standards.

Responsibilities include floor care, carpet and furniture cleaning, waste disposal, and replenishing supplies. The role requires attention to detail and courteous interaction with patients and staff.

Qualifikationen

• Basic math skills, including adding, subtracting, and comparing numbers and letters.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards.
• Ability to interact courteously with patients, families, and staff.

Aufgaben

• Perform hard floor care including dusting and damp mopping.
• Provide carpet and furniture care including vacuuming, spot removal, and shampooing.
• Collect and dispose of trash, soiled linens, and recyclable materials, and replace liners.
• Clean and maintain horizontal and vertical surfaces such as vents, light fixtures, windows, and doors.
• Clean restrooms, including fixtures, and replenish supplies; Maintain assigned areas including patient care items.
• Change curtains, draperies, blinds, and shades as needed.
• Operate electric and battery-powered cleaning equipment and assist with moving furniture or equipment.
• Handle regulated medical waste and respond to spills or emergencies while using proper protective equipment.
• Clean and remake beds, stretchers, and exam tables.

Key responsibilities:

• Perform hard floor care including dusting and damp mopping
• Provide carpet and furniture care including vacuuming, spot removal, and shampooing
• Collect and dispose of trash, soiled linens, and recyclable materials, and replace liners
• Clean and maintain horizontal and vertical surfaces such as vents, light fixtures, windows, and doors
• Clean restrooms, including fixtures, and replenish supplies
  Maintain assigned areas including stairwells, elevators, furniture, equipment, and patient care items
• Change curtains, draperies, blinds, and shades as needed
• Operate electric and battery-powered cleaning equipment and assist with moving furniture or equipment
• Pick up supplies, handle regulated medical waste, and respond to spills or emergencies while using proper protective equipment
• Clean and remake beds, stretchers, and exam tables

Minimum qualifications

Education:

• Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
