You will prepare closing documents, resolve issues with various departments, and ensure compliance with all regulations. Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a Licensed Escrow Officer with a book of business.
• Expected to bring in a minimum of 5 closings a month from their book.
• Working knowledge of state-level escrow rules and regulations.
• Knowledge of state escrow rules and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to manage multiple closings and maintain timelines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare closing disclosures and escrow agreements according to lender instructions.
• Communicate with cross-functional departments to resolve Title process issues.
• Balance all financials with corresponding invoices and tax balances.
• Obtain clear title by curing defects and verifying vesting.
• Balance all financials and manage escrow funds and disbursements.
• Provide lender closing instructions and ensure proper disbursement of funds.
• Maintain compliance with Orchard Title policies and applicable laws.

About the Role

Orchard Title is looking for a dynamic Escrow Officer who has a current book of business, to manage the closing process and provide an exceptional experience for customers for both their own deals and Orchard Brokerage closings. The ideal candidate is a seasoned real estate professional with expert knowledge of residential closings. If you are used to working with high-stakes, time-sensitive deals and managing your own pipeline, then we want to hear from you! This is a full time role that will report into the Escrow Manager for your market. We are open to any of the following locations for this role: Phoenix, Denver, Austin, Dallas, Houston, or San Antonio.

What You’ll Do Here:

• Actively seek new business by attending sales meetings, real estate events, escrow, and management meetings and interact with lending and banking to increase capture rate.
• Prepare closing disclosures, escrow agreements and all other settlement documents according to lender and/or buyer/seller instructions
• Clearly communicate and collaborate with cross-functional departments in Customer Experience, Brokerage, Contract Operations, and Funding to promptly troubleshoot and resolve any issues in the Title process to avoid delays
• Obtain clear title by curing title defects, satisfying existing liens and encumbrances against property or principals, and verifying proper vesting
• Balance all financials with corresponding invoices and tax balances
• Provide correct lender closing instructions and oversee the receipt and proper disbursement of funds; ensure all outstanding checks and escrowed funds are properly managed
• Maintain compliance with Orchard Title policies and procedures in accordance with governing laws, regulations, regulatory agencies and company standards

We’d Love to Hear From You if You Have:

• 3+ years of experience as an Licensed Escrow Officer with their own book of business. Expected to bring in a minimum of 5 closings a month from their book of business.
• Exceptional verbal and written customer service skills that help form positive relationships both internally and externally
• Confidence working with technologies (Google Suite) and specialty software (e.g. Qualia). Will train if needed.
• Working knowledge of state-level escrow rules and regulations enforced by Dept of Insurance
• A team player mentality who subscribes to the concept of “Team Before Self”
• Passion for innovation and are comfortable with change
• Organization skills and are exceptionally detail-oriented
