Job summary

First American near Midvale, UT is hiring an Escrow Officer to support real estate closings and customer service. The role requires handling escrow accounts, processing documents, and ensuring proper funding and disbursement in accordance with policy.

The successful candidate will navigate titles, mortgages, and closing statements while collaborating with the team to deliver accurate, timely settlements and exceptional client service.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of escrow-related experience.
• Experience directly handling escrow transactions as an escrow assistant preferable.
• Openness to new technology and proprietary programs; adjusts easily to new workflow.
• Passion for helping customers while maintaining a professional and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with internal and external customers; comfortable using various types of communication to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements.
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties and monitor and mitigate risk to the company.
• Ensure all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed per contract and policy.
• Prepare regular reports on escrow account status for involved parties.
• Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents.
• Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale.
• Complete closing by recording and filing documents and distributing final closing statements and title.

In this role you will work in a dynamic, fast-paced setting focused on customer service and closing deals. This role requires exceptional decision-making skills, strong communication skills and the ability to multi-task as part of a team. The Escrow Officer is responsible for handling real estate transactions by establishing new escrow accounts, managing funds, processing documents for closings, and completing settlements in accordance with established policies and procedures. This position plays a key role in making the dream of home ownership a reality.

What You’ll Do

• Complete real estate escrow transactions by determining requirements
• Act as a neutral liaison between file parties, adhere to company policy, and monitor and mitigate risk to the company
• Responsible for ensuring that all funds are properly accounted for and disbursed in accordance with the terms of the contract and our company policy
• Prepare regular reports on the status of the escrow account and provide these reports to the parties involved in the transaction
• Examine property titles, mortgages, and trust deed documents
• Prepare legal documents for the closure of the sale
• Complete closing by recording and filing documents, preparing, and distributing final closing statements and title

What You’ll Bring

• Valid Licensing/Certification as required by applicable state

Pay Range: $26.21 - $34.95 Hourly This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
