Responsibilities

  • Plans, evaluates, conducts a wide variety of complex ecological investigations or inspections involving land and water resource development projects to determine their impact on fish and wildlife resources and habitats and ensure that legal standards are met.
  • Leads development and processing of research/recovery permits and ESA-related documents in coordination with federal, tribal, state agencies, and other parties, ensuring timely reviews and permit issuance.
  • Maintains and updates files on permits and consultations for endangered, threatened, proposed, and candidate species and their habitats, and summarizes data for inclusion in consultation or permit documents and planning exercises.
