Job summary

System One in Winnemucca, NV is seeking an ES&H Technical Analyst for a 12-month contract. The role supports ES&H programs, data management, and training development with a 57-hour work week and a rotating on/off schedule.

Mobilization and demobilization are covered, and home trips are provided. Must have a Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) and 5–12 years of ES&H experience, plus a strong background in training development and regulatory interpretation.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 5–8 years of relevant experience, or 9–12 years of relevant work experience.
• Technical knowledge of computer-based training development software.
• Technical knowledge of Adobe Suite desktop publishing software, SharePoint web developer, FrontPage programming code, and Flash incorporation into training products.
• Good knowledge of computer artwork and web design packages.
• Knowledge of learning and development systems, ES&H and automation methods, and computer-aided process improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in ES&H disciplines to support implementation of ES&H programs and management systems.
• Develops, implements, and maintains programs, systems, and procedures for safety and health of employees and environment.
• Maintains ES&H databases including incidents, audits, and corrective actions.
• Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
• Leads teams in risk assessment, mitigation planning, and monitoring of ES&H issues.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in a wide variety of Environmental, Safety, and Health (ES&H) disciplines to facilitate implementation of ES&H programa and ES&H Management System to include aiding compliance with ES&H standards, applicable regulatory requirements, and contractual commitments
• Assists in the development, implementation, and maintenance of programs, systems, and procedures necessary for the safety and health of employees and protection of the environment and communities
• Maintains ES&H databases, inclusive of incident events, audit/assessment findings, and corrective actions
• Performs statistical analysis of ES&H data to help identify performance trends and contributing factors as part of continuous improvement
• Identifies and supports any unique software systems and electronic innovation used by ES&H personnel
• Leads teams in conducting risk assessment, studies, mitigation planning, and monitoring in response to ES&H issues
• Prepares communications, writes reports, and prepares documents for program execution and records retention
• Assists with incident notifications, leads investigations, and prepares incident investigation reports
• Recommends and implements improvements in processes, procedures, and work activities to minimize hazard potential
• Participates in and may lead employee training, emergency preparedness, and quality assurance programs
• Researches moderately complex issues and provides regulatory interpretation and technical advice
• Provides support to ES&H field and office personnel, inclusive of all ES&H disciplines

Requirements

• Knowledge of learning and development systems, applications of both ES&H and automation methods, and application of computers to associated process improvement tasks
• Knowledge of industry and regulatory standards and criteria pertinent to ES&H learning and development needs
• Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication and in preparing clear and comprehensive correspondence
• General knowledge of writing and producing training, marketing, and communication tools
• Has working familiarity with environmental, sa and health processes and procedures
