Job summary

Edgewater Technical Associates is seeking an ES&H Manager/Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) to oversee radiological and industrial safety programs in Johnson City, TN. The incumbent will report to the Site ES&H Director and lead inspections, training, and regulatory compliance across pre-production and production activities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and 5+ years in safety management, with CSP/OHST preferred and RSO certification.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field; master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in safety management, preferably in a chemical processing facility.
• Extensive knowledge of OSHA and EPA regulations; experience with PSM and RMP preferred.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving abilities; team oriented.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and safe facility operations.
• Conduct safety audits, inspections, and hazard assessments to identify risks.
• Investigate incidents and near misses; oversee CAPA implementation.
• Deliver safety training for employees, contractors, and visitors with records.
• Support emergency preparedness, drills, and employee readiness training.
• Maintain safety records, metrics, and compliance documentation; analyze trends.
• Assist with regulatory inspections and interface with external agencies.
• Collaborate with operations to embed safety into daily activities and culture.
