Job Summary

The ERSEA and Data Coordinator serves as the lead for overseeing and monitoring ERSEA; Eligibility, Recruitment, Selection, Enrollment & Attendance and data. The ERSEA and Data Coordinator will work collaboratively with all Head Start service area leadership to assure the execution of high-quality ERSEA, data systems and policies that are in full compliance with Head Start Performance Standards and Community Action Program Committee’s policies and procedures. The ERSEA and Data Coordinator assures that our program is fully enrolled, reaches Head Start eligible children and families in our communities, maintains high levels of attendance and delivers the highest level of customer experience to our families throughout the recruitment, application and enrollment process. The ERSEA and Data Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that data is effectively used to drive decision-making throughout the Head Start program. He or she serves on the program’s Leadership Team and is accountable for ensuring that the data being used in the program is both accurate and timely, and partnering closely with the Head Start Director to ensure that the data is effectively utilized and integrated by the management team to drive compliance and quality. The ERSEA and Data Coordinator oversees the management and implementation of CAPC’s child information database, Shine Insight, for tracking, reporting and analyzing information about children and families. He or she is responsible for training staff on the use of data, providing technical support for data system users, ensuring the accuracy of data, and reporting and analyzing information.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field, Experience and training related to social, human or family engagement. Experience, training, and skills in assisting the parents of young children in advocating and decision-making for their families. Ability to develop positive relationships with children and parents. Experience with data collection and analysis.

Other Qualifications

Must have good computer skills and be proficient in using MS software products and other basic data systems including internet navigation. Be a self-starter and have the ability to start projects and carry them through. Must be able to work independently and able to meet deadlines. Must be able to interact with people from diverse backgrounds. Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing and comfortable making presentations. Ability to quickly and clearly synthesize information. Exceptional problem-solving abilities and the ability to use data to make decisions.

Physical Demands

This position requires the employee to be in an office setting. This position may travel to other center locations and work at community events. The employee must be able to frequently lift 10 lbs. Frequent keyboarding, finger dexterity, and computer use. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential job functions. Maintain a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends.

Required Licenses, Certifications and/or Registrations

Applicants must have a current Florida Driver’s license, reliable transportation, satisfactory criminal records check for abuse and neglect, and state required minimum vehicle insurance and uninsured motorist insurance. Must meet all requirements of the Department of Children and Families. Maintain First Aid/CPR.
