Job summary

Lanteris Space Systems is seeking an experienced ERP Production Planner / Scheduler to support aerospace programs through production scheduling, material planning, and ERP data management. You will partner with Program Management, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Procurement to ensure materials, schedules, and production activities align with program commitments.

Qualifications

  • Must have 5+ years of production planning, scheduling, or materials management experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Manufacturing floor experience in production control, inventory, or material management.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent with substitution options as described.
  • Experience in aerospace or government contract environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) within the ERP system.
  • Execute and analyze MRP (Material Requirements Planning).
  • Balance production demand, capacity, and material availability.
  • Manage long-lead material planning (12-24+ months).
  • Monitor production schedules and resolve material or capacity constraints.
  • Manage production and work orders throughout their lifecycle.
  • Maintain Bills of Materials (BOMs) and ERP master data.
  • Monitor MRP exception messages and resolve data discrepancies.
  • Track inventory, WIP, and material shortages.
  • Ensure data integrity across ERP, PLM, MES, and related systems.
  • Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Procurement, and Program Management.
  • Facilitate planning meetings and communicate schedule risks.
  • Support KPI reporting, dashboards, and root-cause analysis for planning and data issues.
  • Drive continuous improvement of planning processes and system accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

Skills We Are Looking For
  • Strong knowledge of ERP transactions, MRP/MPS, BOMs, and production planning.
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar reporting tools.
  • Experience with capacity planning, inventory management, and data validation.
  • Understanding of ERP integrations (PLM, MES) and data flow between systems.
  • Configuration management and serialized inventory.
  • AS9100/ISO quality systems.
  • Aerospace manufacturing, traceability, and government contract requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, or related field.
  • Four additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • 5+ years of production planning, scheduling, or materials management experience.
  • 3+ years of hands-on ERP experience (SAP, Oracle, or similar).
  • Manufacturing floor experience in production control, inventory, or material management.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
  • Experience with spacecraft or satellite manufacturing.
  • ERP implementations or system migrations.
  • Experience with inventory control, quality inspection, or cycle counting.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the salary range provided below and is determined based on job-related factors, including, but not limited to, the experience, qualifications, knowledge, skills, geographic work location, and market conditions. Candidates with the minimum necessary experience, qualifications, knowledge, and skillsets for the position should not expect to receive the upper end of the pay range.

  • The base pay for this position within California is: $87,000.00 - $145,000.00 annually.

For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
