Thompson Gray Inc. in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Senior Financial Management Analyst (SME) to provide expert financial management, accounting, audit readiness, and ERP support to DoD organizations.

You will advise executive leadership and oversee complex accounting operations while ensuring compliance and process improvements. The role requires DoD financial principles expertise, executive briefing experience, and proficiency with ERP systems (GFEBS, LMP, GCSS-Army, SAP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Master's degree preferred.
• Extensive DoD financial management experience.
• Experience leading enterprise financial reconciliation and audit readiness.
• Active Secret clearance preferred.
• DoD FM certifications preferred.
• DAWIA/DAU FM certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert-level financial management, accounting, audit readiness, and ERP support to DoD organizations.
• Serve as SME for complex financial management processes across multiple organizations.
• Lead financial reconciliation and resolve unmatched transactions and discrepancies.
• Develop executive briefings, reports, dashboards, and metrics for senior leadership.
• Support audit readiness through controls, documentation, and audit responses.
• Research and resolve system interface errors and data integrity issues.
• Support FYE execution, closeout, and reporting deadlines.
• Interpret DoD FMR, GAAP, and Army policies.
• Monitor funding execution and compliance with federal regulations.
• Develop SOPs and process documentation to improve operations.
