Job summary

Virginia Veterinary Centers Midlothian is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician for its emergency department. You will work three 12-hour shifts in a fast-paced ER/ICU setting, triaging patients, assisting with diagnostics, anesthesia, and critical care, and providing client communication throughout hospitalization.

A competitive hourly rate with a $3,000 sign-on bonus is offered, plus shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Certified, Registered, or Licensed Veterinary Technician (CVT/RVT/LVT).
• Emergency or critical care experience preferred.
• Strong technical and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced veterinary environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and assist in ER patient flow.
• Collect samples and assist diagnostics and imaging.
• Assist in IV catheter placement, fluids, and medication administration.
• Support anesthesia during surgical procedures and recovery.
• Document medical records and discharge instructions.
• Maintain inventory, cleanliness, and OSHA compliance.
