Job summary

PetVet Care Centers is seeking an ER Veterinary Technician in Lexington, Kentucky. The role supports hospital operations, provides high-quality care, and ensures exceptional service to patients and clients. The position includes a sign-on bonus up to $1,000 based on experience.

The ER tech will assist with examinations, diagnostics, surgeries, nursing care, and patient record maintenance in a busy referral and 24/7 emergency hospital environment. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years ER experience required.
• Must be a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT), Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT), Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT), or LVMT.
• Applicants must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care by determining animal requirements, performing exams and diagnostics.
• Assist during surgery and procedures, provide nursing care and monitor patients.
• Maintain patient records and medical histories with accurate documentation.
• Collect samples, administer medications and vaccines, and monitor vital signs.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments, manage inventory and ensure clean, safe facilities.
