Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Olympia is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our ER department. The role offers an hourly pay range of $24.50–$35.21, with shift differentials for nights and weekends as described in our Kahuna leveling system.

Responsibilities include triage, CPR initiation, placing IV lines and central access, radiography, ventilator care, and providing Level 2–3 inpatient care. Mentorship and teamwork are emphasized, with many opportunities for skill advancement.

Qualifications

• LVT licensed in good standing.
• ER experience preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage and obtain patient history.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Place IVCs and advanced catheters (jugular, central lines, PICC).
• Perform advanced radiographs.
• Monitor and care for ventilator cases.
• Provide level 2 & 3 inpatient care.
• Work with other technicians and assistants to deliver advanced medicine.
• Mentor and train co-workers.
