Job summary

Kaiser Permanente in Honolulu is seeking an Emergency Department Technician II for Moanalua MOB, part-time evening shift. Under supervision of RN or Provider, you will assist in examination and treatment, help maintain safety and infection control, and support the health care team in delivering patient care.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, EMT-B or allied training, and a Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• Nine (9) months of acute healthcare delivery experience
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Training as EMT-B, Medical Assistant, Army Medical Specialist, Navy Corpsman, or nursing student with clinical coursework and practicum of an accredited RN program
• Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association
• N/A

Responsibilities

• Implements care plan under RN or Provider direction and assists with data collection.
• Records vital signs and reports abnormal findings promptly.
• Records nursing care activities in the patient record according to standards.
• Assists with admissions, transfers, procedures, and discharges.
• Transports patients, equipment, and supplies.
• Maintains confidential information and adheres to safety and infection control standards.
• Assists with procedures and equipment setup.
• Participates in staff meetings and performance improvement activities.
