Job summary

McAlester Regional Health Center is seeking an ER Tech Mid-Flex to support emergency department operations by providing timely patient care under supervision. The role ensures prompt attention, helps set up and maintain equipment, and collaborates with nurses and physicians to facilitate smooth patient flow in a fast-paced ED.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent, ER Tech certification, and are able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Certification as an Emergency Room Technician or relevant clinical certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred.
• Previous experience working in an emergency department or acute care setting preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient intake, including vital signs measurement, patient transport, and preparation for examinations or procedures.
• Support clinical staff by setting up and maintaining medical equipment and supplies in the emergency department.
• Monitor patient status and report any changes or concerns promptly to nursing or medical staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the emergency room to ensure a safe and efficient environment.
• Document patient information accurately and assist with administrative tasks as needed to support department workflow.
