Job summary

The ED Tech at Baptist Health in Louisville, KY assists the nursing and medical staff by performing selected procedures and emergent duties in the care of Emergency Department patients, with a combined clinical and clerical role under supervision of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent with recent experience in a health care setting providing patient care.
• BCLS certified within the first 90 days.
• Previous Emergency Room work experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides care appropriate to the emergency population and maintains the environment of care.
• Assists the nursing staff in triage.
