Job summary

Baptist Health La Grange is seeking an ER Tech for the Emergency Department. This PRN, part-time role supports nursing staff with routine patient care in a fast-paced ED recognized for chest pain and stroke centers. Prior ED experience is preferred, but new graduates are welcome.

Responsibilities include assisting with assessments, patient care activities, and ensuring safety and compliance. Bachelor's degree not required; HS diploma or GED is sufficient with EMT/BCLS credentials underway or

• BCLS certification must be obtained within 1 month of employment.
• EMT certification or comparable ER tech/Nurse Assistant experience preferred.

The pace and patient acuity of the department varies on any given day or hour, with an average of 40 visits daily. The department is proud of playing a large role in being a certified chest pain center, primary stroke center, and Pathway recognized.
