Job summary

St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking an ER Tech for the Emergency Department on a full-time basis. The role involves assisting in basic patient care activities and supporting non-professional services to promote patient comfort under nursing supervision.

Applicants must have phlebotomy training certification or EMT certification, with EMT holders requiring phlebotomy training within 6 months. BLS is required and experience in phlebotomy is preferred.

Requirements

EXPERIENCE: Experience in phlebotomy required. Employees practicing in this role more than 10 years at SMMC are exempt from certification requirements.

SKILLS: Verbal ability required to communicate with patients and understand instructions received from nursing staff; manual dexterity required to use hands easily skillfully while aiding patients. BLS required.
