Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health seeks an Emergency Room Tech to support safe, efficient patient care in the ED, performing delegated tasks from the RN or Physician. Daily duties include diagnostics, patient transport, clerical, and equipment upkeep to ensure unit safety and efficiency.

The role requires completion of EMT/MA/CNA/LPN programs or one year of nursing school, with WA certifications such as CNA, LPN, or RN-related credentials.

Qualifications

• High School GED General Studies or equivalent.
• Completion of EMT, Medical Assistant, CNA, LPN programs, or one year of nursing school.
• WA certifications: CNA, LPN, Medical Assistant Certification, Registered Nursing Assistant, and Basic Life Support CPR.
• May require Phlebotomy knowledge as applicable to Medical Assistant.
• All listed credentials must be current and valid in Washington state.

Responsibilities

• Provide delegated tasks from RN or Physician in the Emergency Department.
• Assist with patient transport, lifting, and clerical and cleaning duties.
• Help implement plan of care with common clinical procedures within scope of practice.
• Observe, gather data, and identify patient care needs.
• Respond to emergency situations and maintain safety standards.
• Stock, clean, and maintain department equipment and supplies.
