Job summary

Vitruvian Health in Dalton, GA is seeking a part-time Secretary/Tech for the Emergency Department. You will perform reception, entry of orders, and coordinate admissions and interdepartmental communications to support patient care.

You will monitor cardiac rhythms, assist licensed nursing staff under RN direction, and handle basic typing and medical terminology while delivering compassionate service in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or certified equivalent is required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• Experience in a similar role is desirable; background in medical field preferred.
• Monitor Technician training program or ACC Specialist training preferred.
• Basic typing and understanding of medical terminology is preferred.
• Ability to recognize changes in cardiac rhythms is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide general clerical support to the Emergency Care Department, including receptionist duties and order entry.
• Coordinate communications with hospital departments and transfers to other facilities.
• Monitor cardiac monitoring systems in the Emergency Care Department or Chest Pain Center.
• Assist licensed nursing staff to provide direct patient care under RN supervision.
