Job summary

Universal Health Services seeks an ER Registered Nurse (RN) for its Level I Trauma Center. The role involves providing acute, patient-centered care in a fast-paced ED, collaborating with a skilled team to manage trauma and critical cases.

Shifts include 7am-7:30pm and 7pm-7:30am, with opportunities for professional growth, research involvement, and supportive leadership. Requires DC RN license or eligibility, BSN preferred, and ED/critical care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification, with TNCC within 1 year of hire.
• DC RN License or eligibility required or eligible.
• BSN preferred for the role.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in a busy emergency department.
• Perform assessments, develop and implement treatment plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
• Educate patients and families on conditions and care plans.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research.
